As the lone G5 team in the rankings this week, South Florida wasn’t exactly looking the part. Not only were the Bulls (2-0 overall) get off to a slow start, they were down 10-7 heading into halftime against Stony Brook.
For now, however, USF is one of only a handful of teams in the G5 ranks to get any consideration for the NY6 bowl. But there is no doubt that this won’t impress any voter and could cause the Bulls to slip a tad when the rankings come out Tuesday morning.
On the horizon for USF: UCONN, a team that certainly won’t help the Bulls’ SOS moving forward.
